11/27/2004 Update: We took Kisu to Graue Mill for her birthday back in September, and just got around to putting the pictures up here. She had a great time, and it shows in these pictures. A lot of what I refer to as "action shots", where she's running out of frame as the picture is snapped, had to be discarded. (I really need a faster camera to keep up with her!)

Here's where we tried to get her to sit for a quick portrait:

Sit, Kisu.

Sit, Kisu.

C'mon, Kisu. Sit.

Now look at the camera.

Good Girl!

3/30/2004 Update: Happy Adoption Day! It's been a whole year since Kisu came to live with us, and we don't know how we survived without her! I asked her today "Kisu! Do you remember the day we brought you home?", and she looked at me, in that way that dogs do, as if she heard me say "Kisu! Blah blah blahblah blah blah blahblahblahblah?"

I'm hoping that she doesn't remember anything that happened to her before she joined our family, because as far as I'm concerned, she's been with us all her life!

Here's some new shots of the princess:

And the watchdog just likes to watch:

1/30/2004 Update: It didn't seem that our recent bitterly cold weather bothered Kisu too much, but she would get snow between her toes, and her feet were getting cold on the ground. So yesterday, we bought her some winter boots! We had a set for Cheyenne, but she never liked them, and it was a major battle to get them on her, although she was fine once we got outside. Kisu, on the other hand, fought with us the first time, but now that (we think) she realizes that her feet won't get cold on the ground or in the snow, she's all for them! I took her and the digital camera out for a little walk, and here's some of the results. (Many of the more "action" shots I dumped, because you saw a paw here or an ear there. She doesn't understand that she's supposed to pose for the camera!)

10/21/2003 Update: We met some of Kisu's classmates at PetsMart for a little early Halloween fun. Here's some attempts at getting the dogs to pose (and failing!):

Kisu's pictures turned out too dark, so I tried to lighten them up. It's a little tough to make out her costume, but she's pretty cute!

9/23/2003 Update: Stephie has been babysitting for the new puppy in the building. Kisu and Siggy have been getting along wonderfully, if you count mauling each other at every possible moment "getting along". Seriously, though, they are having a great time playing together. I tried to get some pictures of these two nuts, but if getting one dog to stay in the frame was a challenge, getting two dogs to cooperate was nearly impossible. Check out some of these "action shots":
